But, why do I like the UK? That's the first question that people ask me every time they see my wrist tattoo of the UK flag, especially when I'm not British. I am a Mexican girl obsessed with Great Britain, who knows why?
Dreams are meant to come true, you just have to be patient and create a plan, research, and save as much as you can. (it's actually a good motivation to go to work). You also have to be very realistic, as London is one of the most expensive cities in the world. Being Mexican and earning Pesos wasn't exactly easy, it took me around 2 years of work to be able to save little more than enough money to spend 15 days out there (10 more or less, I also went to Barcelona on the same trip).
Although the answer is actually silly; It all started when I was a kid. I used to watch Peter Pan, Harry Potter and more movies where the Elizabeth Tower appeared pretty much everywhere, the whole parliament was very interesting for me, the structure, the architecture, the iconic Tower Bridge and the Thames River. Since I was little, I thought I would never accomplish this crazy dream. I have met people who traveled to the UK and more cities in Europe. For me, that was something I saw as impossible, a dream that wasn't meant to come true.
But, after this solo trip, I have discovered that even if you sound crazy to your friends, family, or even to yourself, you have to believe in yourself and be confident that you will accomplish your dream.
This was the first time I traveled by myself and let me say that this is one of the best experiences one can have in life. You have to be prepared for every situation that you might not think would happen to you.
